Hybrid Fibre Coaxial features an NBN Co NTD and makes use of cable within the premises such as pre-existing Foxtel lines. Below is a picture of the NTD:

We’ll touch on the status lights now:
Note that the UNI-D1 port on the back of the NTD also has a status light that can be lit green or amber. Both lights are ok, with GREEN indicating a cable connection and AMBER indicating an older ethernet cable or device in use. If the light is not lit at all, the cable is not being recognised. Try testing an alternate ethernet cable and rebooting the NTD. If all of the status lights look but the internet is still down, it’s time to look at the modem for an issue.
