If you would like to use Mobile Data on your Mobile Phone, it is important that you understand how much data you might need.
Radio Streaming - A radio stream can use approximately 2MB of data per minute, depending on the quality of the audio stream.
Video Streaming - A 5 minute music video on YouTube uses approx 14MB of data.
Google Maps -10 minutes will use approximately 6MB, however this may vary greatly depending on the dynamic data that may be included eg. search functions, navigation and directions.
Facebook - 15 minutes of normal usage including viewing a small number of images and clicking a few links will be approximately 5MB. If you are accessing videos or external pages through Facebook it is highly likely that you will use more data than this.
Apps and Games - Apps and games vary greatly in size and should be checked for exact details prior to downloading. Remember whilst Apps might be free (no $ value) through the App/Play Store, they do require Mobile Data to be downloaded to your device and may require Mobile Data to use them.
Music- Music tracks tend to be about 5MB each but can vary depending on quality and length of the track.
Web Browsing - Standard web browsing can also vary greatly but a standard page with a few images and text will generally be around 0.2MB.
Email - Reading and replying to 200 emails is about 5MB. Emails with attachments will increase the amount of Mobile Data used.
